Problem:
Windows Critical Updates (BITS) Error Fix

Summary:
Many users have been having trouble with many different error messages pertaining to Windows Critical Updates

Description:
This should correct the following problems:

1. Windows Critical Updates indicates that there are no more critical updates to download, but Clean Access indicates that there are
2. Windows Critical Updates indicates that updates were downloaded, but could not be installed
3. The web page is blank when going to get Windows Critical Updates
4. Various other Windows Critical Updates problems and errors

You are currently being placed in a Temporary Role with limited network access to perform the necessary updates. Depending on which updates are missing, you may be required to perform several reboots.

1. Download bitsfix.bat and save it to your desktop. (Figure 1.0)


2. From your desktop, double click on the bitsfix.bat icon. (Figure 2.0 )


3. Click Run to launch the program. (Figure 3.0)


4. A window will open displaying the status of the repair. (Figure 4.0)


5. You will see a message that says: "Press any key to continue . . ." Press any key to continue the application
   *NOTE* the Registration step could take several minutes depending on the speed of your PC.


6. When you see the Success! message, press any key again and the box should close.


7. Restart Internet Explorer and attempt the Windows update process again.
